A Father's Love

It's been a few months since I have posted anything and I felt that I owed it to my fans to bring my amazing wisdom back into the scene, lol. So here it goes....

My experience is pretty much summed up in one word: awesomenessthattotallyblowsmymind!!! In January I became a father. My first child was born, a beautiful baby boy named Noah Augustine. What a great joy!! I always tried to picture or try to guess what feelings or emotions I would have but it wasn't even close. Being a father is such a great feeling and I really look forward to watching him grow and being able to help and guide him in this life.

When I look at him I often find myself praying to God to give me wisdom and help to raise him as a Godly man. I'm so thankful to Him for such a blessing that He has given to Karina and I. The love of God is so much more pronounced, the fact that He sent His only begotten Son to die on the behalf of the church! Wow, I can't even imagine what that feels like. But He did it anyways. We as His people have been given an Eternal gift which is to be in His presence and enjoy Him forever.

May we not waste our lives but instead come daily and worship the Mighty King, the Holy One, the Name above all names Jesus Christ the Savior and Redeemer of His people.

Verse of the blog:
"For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life.
11 More than that, we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation."- Romans 5:10-11

Is Doctrine Important?

This is a topic that sadly most people don't really think or even care about. And when it is talked about people get heated, which is understandable. But today's purpose is simply to remind Christians that Doctrine is very important.

Let's first define Doctrine. Matt Slick, president and founder of CARM explains it like this:

"Doctrine is A set of accepted beliefs held by a group. In religion, it is the set of true beliefs that define the parameters of that belief system. Hence, there is true doctrine and false doctrine relative to each belief set. In Christianity, for example, a true biblical doctrine is that there is only one God in all existence (Isaiah 43:10; 44:6,8). A false doctrine is that there is more than one God in all existence."

You see, the reason I'm writing on this is because I've talked to Christians that don't acknowlege it's importance, and that worries me. Christians have told me that I care about Doctrine too much or that we "don't" need doctrine, cause all we need to do is love Jesus. Sounds familiar? Well let's look closely at the statement "I just need to love Jesus" for a moment. When they say they only need to love Jesus the first problem with that is what Jesus are you talking about? Is it the Mormon Jesus who is Satan's brother? Or is it the Jehovah Witnesses Jesus, the one that was Michael the Arch Angel? Or is it the Biblical Jesus the Son of God, Second Person of the Holy Trinity that came into this dark world by adding to Himself human nature, lived a perfect and holy life, died and took the wrath of God for His Bride and rose on the third day physically and historically and now Rules and Reigns with all glory and power? There is a huge difference between these Jesus'. One needs to adhere to a correct doctrine of Jesus.

I can go on and on but for times sake I won't. But I do hope and pray that you see why Doctrine is important. Too many Christians just accept anything thrown at them instead of checking if it's in line with Scripture. We need to make sure that we believe what the Bible says and not believe what I would like it to say. I'm sure some people just think that just being loving will save people but love cannot come alone, truth is what sets people free. Show people the love of Christ and speak the powerful truth so that they may come to know the One True God.

Verse of the blog:

"Beloved, although I was very eager to write to you about our common salvation, I found it necessary to write appealing to you to contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints. For certain people have crept in unnoticed who long ago were designated for this condemnation, ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into sensuality and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ." Jude 3-4

The Holiday Season is among us!!!

This is truly my favorite time of the year. Starting from Oct to Jan is what I look most forward too, but this year it's extra special because not only is my child coming in these months but I also get to spend it with my parents.

I moved to California over a year ago and I can honestly say this has been one of my favorite years. This was a year that I found my home church(with the best Pastors a guy can have & lots of new bros and sis'), found out my wife was pregnant, and moved into our own house. Pretty sweet huh?

I know that the one that I have to thank is my Lord and Savior Jesus, He is faithful.

Father's Day.

Well it's been awhile since I've posted anything up and I know that all of you were desperately waiting for my next post. Haha!!

Well since I've last posted I have some pretty huge news, I will be a practicing Father around Jan 15th (means that my wife is pregnant!!) I'm so excited about it. It's a weird feeling knowing that there's gonna be a kid that has some of your feature and attitudes (hopefully more like my wife's! Lol) but he/she will be depending on us for love, care and protection. It's an awesome and scary thought but I know that all is well because I have a great wife and a great God that will always be with me. Until next time.

Happy Father's Day!! God bless you.

Verse of the blog:
In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory.- Eph 1:13-14

What does Justified Rebel mean?

For those of you who do know me, I am sure that me coming up with a name like this doesn't surprise you. But I will explain it for those who don't.

The word Justified come from the theological term meaning that every human being on earth is unrighteous including me. The only human to live and be completely perfectly righteous was the God-Man Jesus Christ. Now when He died He took on the Wrath from God that was for sinners like you and me and when we come to believe and trust in Christ then we recieve His Righteousness. In short, Jesus took the wrath of His people and His people put on His Righteousness meaning we are now Justified.

The word Rebel should be easier to explain, lol. Well as the Bible us that we are rebellious in nature because since we are in darkness we hate the Light which is Christ. But since I am now saved by the Grace of God, I can I rebel against the worlds standards and desire by the power of the Holy Spirit for the Glory of Jesus Christ.

Don't think now that I am super strong or that I claim to be perfect. But with God's help I can resist temptation more then fall for it. I thank God everyday for His new mercies.

Verse of the Blog
" There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus"- Romans 8:1

Soli Deo Gloria

Purpose

Well I'm in the blogging world now which is pretty exciting. My purpose of this is to share thoughts about God to what gave me a stomach ache ( The sky is the limit, lol ). But mostly is to provide a place where I can grow in Christian maturity and maybe help people along the way. So welcome to my small little world of .... In a Rebel's mind.
